Today's Pet Pics

friday’s crew for 11.9.12

Posted on: November 9, 2012

One day when I was out in the country visiting my stepfather. We were sitting out by the fire and there was a big pile of wood leading into the forest. After a couple hours we started to hear a meowing sound, so it took us about a half hour to find this little beauty, who has become my Milo.  Then about 45 minutes to get him out of the thorns he managed to get stuck in. He’s been the absolute sweetest thing every since. He’s very mouthy and a huge cuddler, but he’s the best thing to come into the house in a long time.

Georgia  is an unknown mixed breed rescue from, you guessed it, Georgia! She officially goes by Georgia, but has been known around these parts as “Georgie”, “Lady”, or “Moose”. Georgia was found on the side of the road with her litter mates and rescued by a wonderful veterinary hospital. From there, she and a handful of other puppies were taken on a road trip to Connecticut where she came into our lives. She’s finally settled after a hectic first week at her new home, where she and her family weathered not only Hurricane Sandy but also a brush with disaster when Georgie ate a wild mushroom and had to be hospitalized for a few days. This tough pup loves to give licks, cuddle, and play with her “sister”, our 4-year-old rescue.

Georgia and her sister

Name: Cloud
Age: One year old
Gender: Male
Kind: Netherland Dwarf rabbit
Home: Terrace, British Columbia, Canada
Cloud  is my one year old little boy. He is as big as he’ll ever get, as he is a Dwarf rabbit. Cloud is just a ball of joy. He came from my second litter of Netherland Dwarfs, and proved still, to be best of the barn, in both overall confirmation, and personality. He’s so funny with where his litter box needs to be, it has to be in the back left corner of his cage, and if it’s moved, he moves it back. There is no persuading him it can be anywhere else!
This guy takes a lot, he’ll let me do pretty much anything to him, but if someone else tries anything, he kicks until he gets free, and runs his little butt over to me.

Name: Lizzy
Age: Two years old
Gender: Female
Breed: Pomeranian
Home: California, USA
This is Lizzy,  she is a large Pomeranian. She’s smart as a whip, though she does have her quirks. Lizzy is friendly as can be, at least to the family. Strangers, she barks and growls at until she knows that they are safe. She barks at everything outside the front door, even moving leaves. It gets annoying, but we still love our Lizzy.
She is convinced she is male, even going so far as to lift up her leg when she pees. She fetches and then plays keep away, all while grinning at you. She’s the only dog allowed on the beds and happily curls up on top of the couch with our cats. She even boxes with my male cat!
She uses her paws as hands and will paw at my face, because she knows I don’t like her licking me. She will guard me in my room and guards the entire house if everyone’s downstairs. She’s a Cutie pie, even if she is a kind of strange dog.

Name: Edgar Allan
Age: Six months old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Shorthair
Home: Czech Republic
Edgar Allan is a little demon but still beloved pet. Edgar is very friendly, he likes people. He want to play with them all the time. Even if is midnight and I want to sleep, he is certain it is playtime. Sometimes, he jumps on my bed and want to play with my feet. In this time (at midnight) I thing that he is a devil, but cute.
His favorite game is probably when he waits on me at the corner and when I walk around him he jumps againts my feet and he is walking only on two paws. I think that he needs people around him in this age because he is bored without them and when he want attention. He is always able to attract attention, even if he does so by being naughty! With him around, no one gets bored. We all love him!
