saturday’s crew for 11.24.12

Posted on: November 24, 2012

We had just put down a very special cat and missing him terribly. A friend found her alone and helpless on her farm. She gave her to us at seven weeks old. We thought she was a boy but she’s a girl and we didn’t want to rename her, so Pablo it is. She’s very playful, a total cuddle buddy with a very loud purr and super cute too!

Nikko  is a very outgoing Siberian husky dog who loves to play in leaves and sing very loudly. He loves bananas and will do many awesome tricks for them. He has three best friends named Fifi, Eve, and Rags who he loves to hang out with. And although Rags is gone, she will forever remain with him in his heart.

Name: Hobbit
Age: 31 years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Clydesdale cross Pony
Home: New Zealand
This is Hobbit  and he’s a 31-year-old Clydesdale cross pony. Because of his seniority over my other horses, he is currently referred to as “his lordship”. Hobbit and I live in the north island of New Zealand, and you can tell because of his age, he got his name long before Before Peter Jackson decided to film the Lord of the Rings movies in our country!
Hobbit used to be a very successful eventing pony, however he is retired from eventing now and is a paddock and travel mate for a young thoroughbred. Due to his epic cuteness, everyone at the local racecourse absolutely adores him.
His patience with young children is amazing and my extended family adore him also. Since he’s a very special old boy he gets to live the rest of his days in the lap of luxury at my house on eight acres of land and lots of grass to nibble!

Name: Michelle
Age: Six years old
Gender: Male
Breed: Russian Toy Dog
Home: Kiev, Ukraine
This is Michelle  Suzirya Ayrin – a very special dog. He is six years old, but he’s very small. It isn’t strange – he’s the Russian toy-dog, and is the long-haired variety. Michelle is not the average dog! He does not always give people the impression of dog. When people see him for the first time, you can hear: “Wow, you have a squirrel?” “What is this, a fox tail?” and even “Wow, what a rat was there?”
In our language the short version of the name, Michelle, is Misha, which sounds like the word for bear. And this way our little toy-dog gets his improbable, but permanent nickname. In this small body (he weighs no more than two kg), there is a huge lion’s heart. He is always ready to defend his mistress and spoiling for a fight with the big dogs. Michelle is a grand traveler: he traveled through the whole of Ukraine, from the Carpathians to the Crimean Sea, and even flew on plane. I love him very much.

Name: Ckali
Age: One year old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Shorthair
Home: USA
My cat, Ckali, is special because he acts like a dog all the time! He (tries to) bark(s) and doesn’t even use a litterbox, but just the backyard like the dogs. Also, we got him when he was a few weeks old and he was sick! We gave him cow milk, but I did some serious research and found out after having him for a day, that a kitten can starve to death if they have cow’s milk because it gives them no nutritional value!! So it said to give the kitten goat’s milk instead, and that’s what we did. Soon, he got over the cold he had from when we got him, from a farmer whose cat had a litter.
Another reason he is special is yes he is a boy! The reason he has a feminine name is because when we first got him, we thought he was a girl, and since we all wanted to name it Ckali, we did just that! However, when we took our kitten to the vet to get fixed… We found out Ckali was actually a boy! It’s a good thing cats are color blind! The toys we got him, the litterbox he never used, and much more were all in pink! But we couldn’t change his name to be more masculine, because he already learned his name and would come to us whenever we did call his name. Today, Ckali is a healthy, happy cat who likes to play outside. And must I also say, very very cute!
