I found my kitten, because I was unsure of the sex for a while I named her Kittee, in the back seat of my car. She was a stray and we just found her there. After lots of begging, I got to keep her, and now she’s my best friend…
- Hi, I’m Charlie(pomeranian.) Hidden beneath this adorable 3 pounds of fluff is a mischievous little monster ready to take over the world. I use my looks to my advantage and captivate people before I swindle them. Sometimes, it may be their shoes. Other times, it may be their wallets. Whatever it is, it will happen before you know it. Despite my tiny little legs, I am surprisingly fast.
- Name:
Fluffy
Age:
Eleven weeks old
Gender:
Male
Kind:
Dwarf Lop Rabbit
Home:
Mern, Vordingborg, Denmark
Fluffy is my rabbit, he is a dwarf lop and is just a baby. What makes my pet special is he’s very fluffy, curious and loves to explore the world by climbing or jumping. He’s not afraid, not even our dog scares him.
I have had two rabbits before him (two girls, Pinot and Pomkin) and well, I think that my little sister missed having rabbits jumping around in the garden, so she talked our mother into going out to buy one for her! We just recently got him, he’s very fluffy and soft. He’s actually not afraid of anything, which is surprising for a baby rabbit. When we hold him, he likes to climb up and sit at our shoulders. I think he likes that because he likes to have a good view over where he is! Almost every time he sees something higher than him, he tries to climb it, it is very cute! We all love him very very much (even though our dog envies him for all the attention he gets, but they are buddies).
- Name:
Alice
Age:
Two years old
Gender:
Female
Breed:
Tibetan Spaniel
Home:
Sweden
Alice is very playful and always follows everyone around, she really loves people and especially the family members, my boyfriend, his mom, dad and sister, and me.
She does beg for food a lot, whilst staying on her back legs and doing a begging motion with her front paws (see picture). She usually gets a lot of food because everyone think she is so cute when she does it, and this has made her kind of fat for her breed.
My boyfriend’s dad used to breed Tibetan Spaniels before, but he stopped a couple of years ago. Since then they had another Tibetan Spaniel named Lisa, but she died at the age of almost eighteen in 2009, just before I met my boyfriend. They decided to get another about a half a year later, early in 2010. They know a old couple that breeds Tibbys, so Alice has a pedigree and everything. Her birth-name is Loretta’s fast lady. We tried placing her in a competition once, because her family members have won many prizes, but the judges though she was too fat.
She loves to play fetch, but only if she feels like it. If she is not in the mood of playing she just lies there and gives you a “are you crazy? I’m not going to chase that”- look. She does know a few tricks, of which I have taught her myself, since I am the most patient of us humans. she knows sit, sit up (on her backlegs), hop up (stand on the back legs), lie down and paw. She does recognize the family members’ names and a few other words like home, kitty, doggie and “is Alice coming with us?” She hates being left alone, so when she notices that we are on our way without her, she goes away with her tail between her legs and hides beneath the bed.
She does not like being brushed, but she lets us do it anyway. The long hair on her ears get easily tangled though. When we wash her, all of her fur (especially the fur on the ears) gets curly/waffled, and many have asked if we do this with a curl-iron, but its her natural curls! She hates having her claws trimmed though, she screams really loud and tries to run away.
We recently found out that she got a disease from a tick bite, and we are feeding her medicine that she is responding well to. She gets it together with meat so that she will eat it, but she has discovered that she can eat the meat and then spit out the medicin again, so it takes a while to get her to eat it. Silly Alice, it is to make you feel better!
She brings a lot of joy to everyone all around and I think that she is worthy to be honored!
- Name:
Gizmo
Age:
One year old
Gender:
Female
Kind:
Sphynx Cat
Home:
Phoenix, Arizona, USA
Gizmo is an adventurous and loving cat! She loves to climb, explore, snuggle, and sit on your shoulder! She is very spoiled and she knows she’s the princess. Sometimes she can be found hidden under blankets, in boxes, or inside of random bags that she finds! On some mornings, you may find stuffed animals or random objects scattered around the floors that she plays with when no one is looking. She’s very mischievous, loving, and an amazing part of the family!
Gizmo is our second cat and our very first Sphynx. We received her from a relative who could not keep her and took her to accompany our first cat. She’s very hyper and playful and loves to play with all kinds of toys. She and our other cat always chase each other around the house day and night. When she isn’t playing, she will find someone who is sitting down or lying down and fall asleep under their neck without any hesitation, happily purring. She has a strange fascination for feet. She rubs against anyone’s feet, sits inside of our shoes, and plays with socks that she steals from our bedrooms. Another favorite thing to do for her is sitting in a window and feeling the Arizona sun on her skin. She loves to stay warm and sunbathe when she is in lazy mode! If the sun is down, she’ll resort to sitting next to heated computers or under one of the table lamps.
She loves to take her weekly baths (since Sphynx’s are very high maintenance) and run around the house to dry off afterwards! Exploring is another one of her hobbies. When we moved apartments, we would have hard times finding her in one of the many unpacked boxes! I have found her inside grocery bags, inside cabinets, at the top of my closet, under the couch cover, behind the television, or buried in laundry baskets! She is definitely an adventurer!
She is slightly shy to new people who come into the house, but once she meets them, she instantly falls in love. Many guests who cringe at the thought of a hairless cat change their minds instantly when they get to hold or play with Gizmo. She gives everyone loving nudges and has no problem sitting on anyone’s shoulders or chests. When we are in the living room watching tv, she always comes and sits on someone, watching the tv as well.
Gizmo is very proud and she knows she is adorable. She even has a slight strut when she walks around! She constantly demands playtime or attention if she is bored. Even if you’re watching tv or sitting at the computer, she’ll be on you and expect royal treatment! She’s a joy to have around the house and although she drives us crazy, we wouldn’t change her for the world.
